Making the Switch Easy
Switching to Abode couldn’t be easier. Our experience and longstanding team mean that our switching process has been fine-tuned over the years to make it easy for you to make the move and hassle free for your tenant.
Once you’ve given notice to your current agent, we take care of everything for you. We’ll contact them to collect all paperwork and compliance documentation as well as arrange the transfer and registration of the tenant’s deposit to our Tenancy Deposit Scheme.
We will introduce ourselves to your tenants providing guidance on their new property manager and rent payment details. We will also visit the property and update you on any issues that may need attention.

FAQs
Can I only switch agents at the end of a tenancy?
No you can switch agents at anytime. Your existing tenancy will remain in place – it is just a change in agent. As part of our switching process we will communicate with your tenant and ensure everything runs smoothly.
What happens to the tenants deposit?
As part of the switching process we will contact your old agent and arrange the transfer and registration of the deposit to our Tenants Deposit Scheme.
Will I need to give notice to my current agent?
Yes it is likely that you will have a notice period within your current rental agreement. If you are very unhappy with your current arrangements you may be able to communicate that to your agent and agree a reduced notice period.
I am currently managing the property, can I switch to yourselves?
